Yamaha Motor Indonesia, a wholly subsidiary venture of Japan's Yamaha Motor Company Limited unveiled its upgraded mid-segment sporty machine, the 2013 V-Ixion, at Jakarta Motorcycle Show, in Indonesia. The all new 2013 V-Ixion comes with a lot of alterations and sporty features rather than its predecessor. The machine has been priced at Rs. 1.2 lakh in Indonesia.
The V-Ixion or Vixion comes with a powerful 150cc, 4-stroke, 4 valve, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine. The beast produces a maximum power of 15 bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Comparing with Yamaha's own FZ-S, the V-Ixion is slightly more powerful than the FZ-S.
The officials commented that the design behind the all new V-Ixion was inspired from the YZF-R1. The motor features an upgraded sketch, new headlamp, sporty seat, rear panel, re-designed fuel tank, tail-lamp, sporty muffler, yellow painted rear shock absorber and so on.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a computer chip which is installed to check out the error analysis accompanied with the motorcycle. It also comes with a rear disc brake for a confident drive. In order to ensure more safety, Yamaha has replaced a couple of bigger tyres, 120/70.
The 2013 V-Ixion rolls out in red white, black red, solid black and champagne gold colors. Unfortunately, the V-Ixion is only available in Indonesia.
