Maruti Launched New Ritz Diesel

Maruti Suzuki India unveiled its upgraded version of Ritz Diesel variants. The all new refreshed model comes with almost 52 changes as Maruti did in the second generation products, Swift and DZire. The 52 changes are comprised of new front design, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, dual tone interiors, multi-information display on instrument panel, audio system with USB, body side moulding, new colors and so on.



The new Ritz is 10% more fuel efficient than the exiting model. Maruti hasn't revealed anything regarding the old version whether it would be discontinued or not. There had been many speculations concerning the launch of new generation Ritz. However, Maruti ebded up all rumors in style.



"It is heartening to see a fairly young brand crossing 200,000 sales mark in just 37 months. This reflects the huge customer acceptability of the Ritz. Numerous changes being introduced now will make the Ritz brand more vibrant. Most important, the new Ritz is more fuel-efficient with enhanced driving comfort. This makes it even more attractive for the customer and also gives us confidence to generate additional sales" Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President of Marketing Department of Maruti Suzuki India.



Maruti has unveiled 4 new models including the high end, Ritz ZDi with the most features. Earlier there was no ZDi and the top version was VDi ABS.The new Ritz will be available in mystique red, granite grey and breeze blue colors.



Talking on its tech spec, the company hasn't replaced a new engine. The new Ritz Diesel still works on a 1248cc, 4 cylinder diesel engine, which is powered by 75 PS @ 4000 RPM and torque of 190 NM @ 2000 RPM. The 5 speed gear box is not that vulnerable to drive through cities and it snap a speed of 60 kmph in just 5.9 seconds.
