UK based trendy bicycle manufacturer, Raleigh Bicycle Company celebrated its come back by launching 12 mountain bikes in Coimbatore. Mr. Rajesh Kalra Raleigh, Managing Director of Naren International presided the function. Raleigh has signed a license agreement with Ludhiana based Naren International in January to retail the products by being as a stake holder of Raleigh in India.
Raleigh Bicycle Company has a vibrant hereditary of 125 years. The consortium plans to import a tally of 26 models by the end of this year, including its best selling Raleigh USA range. The company also designs to set up a manufacturing and assembling plant in Ludhiana by the next year, so that customers could save lots in terms of duty tax. For that, an initial investment of $5 million will be accounted soon.
"Even a kid wants a trendy bike now. Biking clubs are also becoming popular in every city. So we decided to launch the mountain bikes first. The brand is very popular in the southern states, especially in Coimbatore" said Managing Director of Naren International, Mr. Rajesh Kalra.
