Launched in India in May 2013. SZ-S is not in production now.
The SZ-S is the latest bike to hit Yamaha stores. There is no big difference in appearance. The SZ-S almost looks like the other machines in the SZ Series. The bike is made aiming the commuter class riders who just care to own a powerful motorcycle that is built upon fuel efficiency, quality, riding comfort, and decent looks. The SZ-S is not a sporty machine as the SZ-RR. But the bike stays true to be a 150cc motorcycle with a proper design that a two-wheeler in this class must have.
It comes with the same 153cc, Air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine which is powered by elegant power of 12.1 PS @ 7500 rpm and rocking torque of 12.8 Nm @ 4500 rpm. Its well toned engine is coupled with a 5 speed constant mesh transmission. It is certain that the all new model of the Japanese firm will cut down the stake which is currently owned by the leading 150cc machines in the country.

Got my Red SZ S from UNO mobikes Kuriachira/ TCR/ Kerala. last week . 68k Onroad. almost 300 km done.
Petrol finished during delivery ride and i'd to walk with my new bike 2 the nearest pump.
The tyres were 'nt inflated properly. Ok thats all about the showroom people.
When it comes to the bike. It has butter smooth engine, transmission. Headlight is powerful. And I was shocked to experience its braking performance yesterday. Those who complain about the TVS tyres must experience it themselves.
The handle bar feels short. Still Ok.
And. Yesterday I 've checked its mileage. Reserve @172km. refueled for 100Rs (1.3l). Next reserve @ 243km. Which means mileage 53kmpl. which hopefully improves after my first service.
One remarkable thing about the engine is that it is tuned for low-mid end torque. which means less gear shifts. it can comfortably cruise @ 30kmph @ 5th gear. it can easily pull the rider and a pillion through an over bridge @ 40kmph @ 5th gear. Altogether it 's a head turner.
I wonder. why Yamaha has no resalve value. ?. May be because of the fu*king after service.
