Since its launch from 1978, the bike had been the star among 500cc classic bikes. Though not yet fully launched in the Country, SR500 has gained a number of fan ratings. The massive 499cc air cooled single cylinder engine capable of producing a maximum power of 32 HP at 6500 rpm and 3.7 HP of torque at 5500 rpm. Suspension system included a 35mm telescopic forks, 150 mm travel front and 104mm wheel travel, 5-way adjustable spring preloaded rear suspension. Production of the bike was discontinued in 1999, but the bike still remains in the same glory and heritage it had then.
