Yamaha categorized NMAX 125 as an Urban mobility vehicle. This small bike looks like a miniature version of maxi-scooter due to its physic. It may look like a simple scooter, but it has many features under its belt. NMAX satisfies the customer with its stylish looks and technical abilities as well.

It is the first scooter to feature variable valve timing, which works with the help of two cam lobes, according to variable speeds. NMAX is powered by 125cc, EU4, single cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine with SOHC system and 4 valves. The mill delivers a maximum power of 9 kW @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 11.7 Nm @ 7250 rpm. It uses telescopic forks at the front and swingarm at the rear for suspension duties. Front and back features 230mm disc brakes with ABS as a standard feature. The main chassis consists of lightweight tubular frame work.

NMAX may look physically a small bike, but it has no cheapy stuffs used in the construction. Like all heavier cousins, it too uses high quality parts. It has LCD instrument console, generous amount of under seat luggage space, twin-eye LED headlight and LED rear light, spacious interior with plenty of legroom, 13-inch wheels with 130-section rear tyre and sporty aerodynamic framework. It has a decent fuel efficiency of 45.7 kmpl and clocks a top speed of 100kmph.
