First Impression Review
The Daytona 675 R is one of the most ravishing middleweight sports bike in the world. The 675 R is an advanced version of the standard Daytona 675 with the addition of certain high-quality components like Carbon fibre cockpit infills, Quickshifter, Rear hugger and front mudguard and a Removable number plate and indicators.
The Daytona 675 R comes with a more powerful engine compared to the standard Daytona and it produces a maximum power of 118.5 PS @ 12,305 rpm and a maximum torque of 70.2 Nm @ 9,900 rpm. When compared with the Daytona 675 it produces more power and torque. The 675cc Liquid-cooled, 12 valves, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine uses Multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with twin injectors. The exhaust system used on the bike is Stainless steel 3 into 1 system with under engine silencer incorporating a valve. The big and powerful engine is mated to a 6-speed and uses O ring chain as its final drive.
The Daytona 675 R comes with an Aluminium beam twin spar frame with 2 pieces high pressure die cast frame at the rear. The Daytona uses Braced, twin-sided, aluminium alloy with adjustable pivot position as its swingarm. The subframe of the Daytona 675 R is painted in red to make a distinct appeal from the standard equipment and the overall look of the paint job gives the 675 R as very mean and powerful look.
The suspension duties of the Daytona 675 R are performed with high-quality Öhlins 43 mm upside down NIX30 forks with adjustable preload, rebound and compression damping with 120 mm travel at the front, while the rear suspension work is done with Öhlins TTX36 twin tube monoshock with piggy back reservoir, adjustable, rebound and compression damping with 133 mm rear wheel travel.
The braking system of the bike is done with Twin 310 mm floating discs, Brembo 4-piston radial mono-block calipers with switchable ABS at the front while the rear suspension duties are done with Single 220 mm disc, Brembo single piston caliper. Triumph has given switchable ABS option ta the rear also. The seat height of the 675 R is 830 mm and comes with a dry weight of 167 Kg.
