Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition

The Access 125 is the flagship model of the automatic scooter clan of Suzuki. The Special Edition (SE) is the latest and updated version of this model launched in 2017. Suzuki has given a fashionable makeover to their best-selling scooter to attract the young trendy riders. Moreover, it is a distinctive scooter with appealing aesthetics.



The Engine and Performance
The 124cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine continues to power the scooter in the SE model. Here, the mill delivers a maximum power of 8.5 bhp 7000 rpm and peak torque of 10.2 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The CVT type transmission unit found in the standard Access 125 is also found along with this powertrain. It is claimed to offer a maximum fuel efficiency of 64 kmpl. Moreover, the Access 125 is very well known for its brisk acceleration and throttle response. The addition of disc brake to the model had added the much-required safety standards.



The Design and Features
Suzuki had added lots of cosmetic outfits to this Special Edition. This new scooter comes in stylish matte finishes such as Metallic Fibroin Grey, Metallic Matt Black and Pearl Mirage White. Upfront, chrome rear view mirrors and chrome headlamp give a retro classic look to the vehicle. Along with that, maroon seat, special edition emblem on the side panel, chrome muffler, stylish tail lamps and new digital instrument console enhances its visual beauty.





Other inclusions such as dual luggage hooks, large 21.8-litre underseat storage space, leather textured long seat, additional front pocket and DC socket has been also featured in this Special Edition vehicle. All these additions have improved the utility of this scooter.

Suspension and Braking
The suspension system of the new Access 125 consists of a telescopic fork at the front and swing arm at the rear. The braking duties of the vehicle is with disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.



The Conclusion
During the introduction of Access 125 in India, it was one of the high-performance scooters, in terms of its power delivery and acceleration. It had raised some competition to the market lead Activa by some means. Before the launching of Gixxer motorcycles, Access 125 stood as the sole player for the Japanese maker in India. As the competition increased from Honda, TVS and Yamaha, Suzuki decided to upgrade their best-selling model to become the pioneers in 125cc segment.
