The California 1400 Custom comes with a very big 1400cc engine which is set in a classic transversal V2 architecture. Moto Guzzi has made sure that all the latest technologies like ride by wire, cruise control, ABS and traction control to equip this unique motorcycle to scale miles and give the rider a sense of control and confidence in all the miles that have been put forward.
Moto Guzzi has given a two-seater saddle to give a pleasurable rider for both the rider as well as the pillion. The drag bar handlebars, the original rear shock absorbers, minimal graphics and black wing mirrors make the California 1400 Custom a very compelling cruiser to take down the road with.
The Custom comes with all the technological features like cruise control as standard. The presence of Ride-by-Wire enables it to have riding modes - Touring, Sport and Rain. The California 1400 Custom uses a 90° V-twin engine, 4-stroke engine. The big engine produces maximum power of 95 HP @ 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm @ 2,750 rpm. The California Custom 1400 uses double cradle chassis with elastic-kinematic engine mounting system to isolate vibrations.
The front suspension of the bike comes with 46 mm hydraulic telescopic fork, with radial calliper mounting bracket, while the rear suspension is made of a swingarm with double shock absorber with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. The braking of this ultimate cruiser is done with dual 320 mm stainless steel floating discs with Brembo radial callipers while the rear brakes are done with 282 mm stainless steel fixed disc, with Brembo floating calliper. The overall weight of the bike is 303 kg.
