Hero Splendor Plus

The Splendor is a very popular and the most user-friendly bike ever launched in India. But however, It took 7 years for Hero to upgrade this very famous motorcycle. The new Splendor Plus uses features like the multi-reflector headlight, trendy graphics, all new tail light and turn signal lights to make it very attractive.



While comparing the old Splendor, the new Splendor Plus showcase a more impressive and stylish design which matches the outlook and perspective of the average prospective customers.



Engine

The Splendor Plus uses the same 97.2cc, Air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder, OHC engine that has been used by the old model Splendor for years. The reliable and fuel efficient engine produces 7.5 PS @ 7500 rpm and torque of 7.95 Nm @ 5000 RPM and it comes mated to a 4-speed gear transmission. The Hero engine is very refined and ensures very smooth performance at all speeds. The Splendor Plus ensure very good mileage of 81 kmpl.



Heo has provided electric start to this bike along with the normal kickstart, this makes it easy even for old people to start the motorcycle very easily.

Chassis, Suspension and Braking

The Splendor Plus uses a Tubular Double Cradle Type chassis. The suspension setup of the bike comes with Telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at its front suspension and a Swing arm with hydraulic shock absorber as its rear suspension. The bikes use alloy wheels at the front and rear with the braking system arrangement comes with Internal expanding shoe type and measures 130 mm while the rear brakes come with an Internal expanding shoe type and measures 130 mm.



The Splendor Plus has good stopping power and is nimble to handle it around the city and traffic very easily. The Petrol Tank Capacity of the bike is 11 litres and the bike comes at a very light weight of 109 Kg.

The new styling and updated graphics of this scooter is a good improvement when compared to the old Splendor and comes with very less maintenance cost. With impressive mileage, new design and styling, fewer maintenance costs and more comfortable; the new Splendor Plus is a good bike that can be used for regular commuting as well as occasional highway rides very easily.
