Launched in India in 2014. Passion Pro TR is not in production now. Discontinued in 2017.
Hero Passion Pro TR is a distinctive 100cc commuter from Hero MotoCorp. It is an off-beat motorcycle in look wise. It is nothing beat but the regular Passion Pro with some cosmetic upgrades to look like an off-road motorcycle.
It was an experimental model from the Hero in order to measure the pulse of customers with this kind of machine. This particular Hero is equipped with off-road tyres, headlamp grill, a bash plate for the engine, knuckle guards, raised front fender with tyre hugger and a new racing spec handlebar with cross brace. Unlike other off-road vehicles, this one has no mechanical outfits to cope up with such terrains.
The new TR uses the same mill that powers Passion Pro. This 100cc motorcycle produces 7.7 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 8 Nm. It uses a 4-speed gearbox for optimum power delivery. A disc brake upfront replaces the drum brakes from older Passion Pro. No refinement is done to the suspension department from the older model as rear part gets Swingarm with 5-step adjustable type hydraulic shock absorber. But it has nothing to do with the off-road motorcycle specifications.
With three new paint schemes like; black with sports red, electric blue and sports red it also gets fuel tank pads, restyled mirrors and new decals, adds up the aesthetic appeal. We can’t say this bike is better than Passion Pro, as it doesn’t have any technical advantages over Passion Pro. This bike targets those customers who prefers to own a ride, which attracts the crowd only by its looks.
