First Impression Review

Design and Features
The Hero Hunk comes with an array of new features like altered visor, digital instrument console, new stylish side panels, body coloured rear view mirrors, tubeless tyres, LED tail lamps, exhaust cover and dark rear grab rails. Some high quality plastic outfits are imposed on the sides of fuel tank to enhance the strength of the bike visually. Hero manages to use simple and elegant styling for this vehicle. The latest version uses sporty speed line graphics, starting from the headlamp assembly towards the rear fender and ends with tail lamp assembly.

The all digital instrument cluster displays all relevant details like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and even side stand indicator lights as well. Hero Hunk is closely matched with their close relative CB Unicorn Dazzler in various aspects. The shape of fuel tank and its cowl are similar to the Hunk.

Engine
The Hero Hunk sits on 149.2cc, air cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder engine with OHC system. This engine is powered by Advanced Tumble-Flow Induction Technology (ATFT) for reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency. This technology is developed by Hero to refine their engines of various capacity. Engine meshes with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox for optimum power transmission to the rear wheels. The mill delivers a maximum power of 15.6 bhp @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm. Top speed of this bike is set to 107 kmph. CV type carburettor controlled variable ignition is used in this motorcycle for efficient performance. Ignition of the bike is controlled and maintained by Advanced Microprocessor Ignition System.

Suspension, Braking and Chassis
Hunk uses conventional telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and Swing arm with Nitrox GRS (Gas Reservoir Suspension) system is used in the rear part. The stopping force of the bike depends on 240mm front disc brake and 130mm internal expanding shoe brake. A 220mm rear disc brake is also available as an optional feature. The Hero Hunk is based on single down tube diamond type frame with engine as a stressed member. Riding position is spot on without being sporty but comfortable enough for long rides.

Final Words
Hunk might seems to be like an untamed bull or stallion. Engine vibrations starts from the low rev ranges to all the way to red lines. Gearbox isn't good enough to bring out all the elements of the refined engine. Apart from that, braking and suspension of the bike is good enough for an average ride. In the styling department, Hero is still lagging behind with their conventional odd design elements and features.

I hate hunk bcz its bit heavy (around 150 kg) than its competitors,so its not fun to ride motorcycle at all. its may have gud features but lack the quality, handling and comfort. One should buy a motorcyle by keeping in mind a very good handling, its comfort nd durability but hunk lacks all these qualities. so a big no!! to hunk.
