Hero HF Deluxe ECO

HF-Deluxe Eco is the upgraded model of the standard Hero HF- Deluxe which was launched in 2005. This Eco variant gives a better fuel economy and slight improvement in power than the base model, because of its improved aerodynamics. HF Deluxe Eco was launched in 2013 under the new badge Hero MotoCorp.



Engine
This Eco variant is powered by 97.2cc, single cylinder, air-cooled, four cylinder engine, which is capable of delivering a top power of 7.8 Ps @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.04 Nm @ 4500 rpm. The mill is mated with a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox for optimum power transmission. This particular engine is used in the standard HF model, but it is highly fuel efficient than the previous one. Moreover, this model includes electric start engine, which is a new feature in the HF model.



Design and Features
From the standard version, Eco features body graphics and knee grip. Hero has worked on this model to reduce the air resistance using stylish air foils and aerodynamically enhanced wing mirrors. Under the skin, a tubular double cradle frame gives the shape and structure of the bike. The new attractive graphics stands closer to the name of the model. In order to magnify the name “Eco”, Hero used a green paint job for this model. And it is available only in this paint scheme.



Hero has used their traditional analogue instrument cluster with an additional side stand indicator. New stylish aerodynamically shaped rear-view mirrors are other main attraction of this bike. It has improved the aerodynamics of the bike as well as enhanced the visual beauty. Eco also features tyres with low rolling friction for smooth and effortless driving. The electric push button has found its place along the switchgear section as this one features electric start option. Like other models of Hero, it too uses maintenance free battery.



Suspension and Braking
The stopping force of HF-Deluxe Eco lies within the hands of drum brakes with a dimension of 130mm and 110mm at front and back respectively. Telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers are used for suspension duties upfront and swing arm with 2 step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers are used at the rear. Both these system does the work in standard HF-Deluxe model as well.



Conclusion
Altogether, HF-Deluxe Eco is a low budget commuter with minimal outfits and technology. Like the base model, it too targets a particular category of consumers who are aged and uses motorcycle for day-to-day short distance riding. This motorcycle is not meant for long distance cruising or high speed commuting. Therefore, we can't expect more from such a motorcycle. The Eco model is slightly a better motorcycle in terms of its fuel efficiency, but the paint job of this variant is not so welcoming and lacks the pure class for a mature man.
