Benelli BX 250 Motard

Launched in India in February 2016. BX 250 Motard is not in production now.

BX Motard 250 is an adventure machine from Benelli for Indian market. This motorcycle was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 and now officially available in the Indian market. It uses a 249cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine. The mill churns out 25 bhp of maximum power @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 21 Nm @ 7000 rpm. The bike is built with steel tube double frame, which acts as the main chassis.

Being an adventure sports bike, it is equipped with vibrant suspension system. Upfront a 50mm telescopic USD forks deals with the action and at the rear swing arm with progressive link acts as the suspension system. It features disc brakes at both the ends. A 280mm steel disc with 2 piston floating caliper at the front and 240mm steel disc 2 piston caliper at the rear completes the braking of Motard.

The ground clearance of this motorcycle is 277mm which makes it one of the better adventure bike available here. This figures even competes with the SUVs and other off-road vehicles. BX 250 weighs 136.6 kg which is optimum for an adventure bike. This particular Benelli competes with much powerful RE Himalayan. But Himalayan can be used as a commuter and cruiser, meanwhile Motard is built for dirt, dust and pure adrenaline rush.
