Launched in India in 2012. Pulsar 200 NS is not in production now.
The Pulsar 200NS, the flagship motorcycle of Bajaj Auto. The bike was launched in 2012. It is the world's first bike with 4 valve, triple spark, DTS-i engine. The Pulsar 200NS was slightly inspired from KTM Duke 200. The bike had won many awards within no time the bike launched in the Indian motorcycle market. The 200NS is currently the best selling bike in its segment India. The bike comes with a 199.5cc, Type SOHC - 4V - Liquid Cooled engine. It is capable to produce impressive power of 23.52 PS @ 9500 and stunning torque of 18.3 Nm @ 8000. It is mated with a 6 speed transmission.
After 6 long years, the upgraded Pulsar 200 NS was launched in January 2017 with BS-IV compliant engine. The motorcycle is powered by the same 199.5cc engine with Bajaj's own Triple Spark technology. All the mechanical figures of the updated Pulsar is same with the older one. other than the new BS-IV engine, it also gets AHO feature which is meant to be mandatory for all the motorcycles in India. In the cosmetic department, the variant name "200" is being affixed on the extended fuel tank cowl in large font size. Minimal graphics works has been used in this model, which is said to be very neatly done by the Bajaj. Sadly, ABS and FI comes as an optional feature.
Bajaj has stopped the production of its motorcycle Pulsar 200 NS and hence the given price is not relevant.

First Impression Review
With the launch of Pulsar 200 NS, Bajaj proved themselves as they are good at designing vehicles with international quality and standards. The Pulsar NS 200 model was co-developed by Bajaj and the Austrian KTM. It was launched in 2012 after the introduction of KTM Duke in India. Moreover, it looks way better than all Pulsar motorcycles that we had ever seen.
The Engine and Performance
The Pulsar NS 200 stands for its aggressive design and power packed performance. It gets 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, BS4 compliant, DTS-i engine with a fine-tuning of Bajaj's patented Triple Spark Technology to boost the power delivery and throttle response. The 2017 version is equipped with Fuel Injection technology. The liquid-cooling enables the engine to work efficiently even at higher temperatures. The engine delivers a maximum power of 23.5 bhp @ 9500 rpm and peak torque of 18.3 Nm @ 8000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox to transfer the power to rear wheel. Moreover, this motorcycle is known for its brisk acceleration and happens to be the most powerful 200cc sports bike of India made.
Design and Styling
The Pulsar NS200 stands for 'Naked Sports' and the bike stands true to its name with the aggressive muscular styling. It has the muscular street fighter looks that no other brands have. However, the new and updated format of the NS200 was launched this year with a new dual-tone colour scheme, new '200' decals, newly redesigned front, extended fuel tank cowl and an additional belly pan. It is available in vibrant three different colours such as Graphite Black, Mirage White and Wild Red. The riding position is sporty and the knee recess on the sculpted fuel tank enhances the riding comfort. Instruments are a combination of analog and digital.
Suspension, Chassis and Braking
A perimeter frame chassis of the NS 200 enables the rider to take every corner with maximum confidence. Moreover, the MRF Zapper tyre helps in boosting the confidence over the tarmac. The suspension system which consists of Nitrox mono rear suspension and telescopic front fork compliments the overall handling and ride quality of the bike. The braking duties are undertaken by 280 mm and 230 mm disc brakes at both the ends. For superior braking and safety, it comes with ABS as an optional feature.
Final Words
Pulsar NS 200 can be called as the most affordable and most powerful 200cc naked sports bike to launched in India. It underpins some of the dynamics and aerodynamic features of KTM bikes. Yet, it is the fastest Indian till this date.
