Bajaj Avenger 200 DTS-i

Avenger 200 DTS-i is not in production now.

The reception of 180cc Avenger in Indian market was huge. During that time, this motorcycle stood as the only cruiser bike available and produced in the India, before the arrival of Yamaha Enticer. Avenger 200 is the upgraded version of the Avenger 180. It features the same 200cc engine that powers the Pulsar 200 DTS-i.

The 198.8cc, 4-stroke, oil-cooled engine draws a maximum power of 16.5 bhp @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 15.22 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Bajaj engineers had did some minor modifications in this engine by reducing 0.5 bhp power and 4Nm torque from the 200 cc Pulsar engine. The Engine meshes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It uses the same chassis of Kawasaki Eliminator.

This cruiser uses hydraulically-operated 260mm disc brakes at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear for braking. The front suspension features a 140mm travel telescopic shock absorber and a 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber with 90 mm travel is used for rear suspension.

Top speed of this particular cruiser is 114 kmph and it does 0 to 60 kmph in 5.18 seconds. Like other bikes from Avenger series, this one too has a 14 litre fuel tank and a fuel efficiency of 40 kmpl.
