The power-scooter segment in India hasn't really gotten off well with the riding habits of most Indian buyers, however, since the past couple of years, there has been a strong indication of people wanting to go for performance-oriented vehicles, giving little regard to the mileage figures. This posture can clearly be seen with the motorcycle sector, several players like KTM, Bajaj, and Honda now offering performance upgraded variants, besides TVS and Hero bringing forth several prototypes for the Indian market, with the help of established foreign players.
Honda had already claimed the Indian market space and built a strong, extremely extravagant fortress based on its success. This fortress is going to be further strengthened by new weapons, as news has arrived of Honda patenting its design of a new 125cc-based power-scooter. Named Forza, the Indian two-wheeler segment was instead anticipating the launch of the PCX150, another power-scooter from Honda, released globally. However, Honda definitely seem to have other plans and bring in the chunky looking Forza.
The Forza is equipped with alloy wheels, fat tyres, analog-digital instrument cluster, large wind deflector, edgy body styling with a low seat and raised handle bar, disc-brakes and ABS! A 4-stroke, 125cc engine powers the Forza. This liquid-cooled engine delivers 14.08 bhp of power and 12 Nm of Torque, and as found on all scooters, it gets a typical CVT automatic gearbox.
Although the scooter is still in the making for India, it is not yet worthy to confirm that Honda will indeed launch the scooter here. It might take some time before we get to see this ruling the streets.
Honda might set off a storm with the 125cc Power-Scooter
