Honda to Launch CBR 500 and CB 500 in India in 2013

Japan motorcycle conglomerate, Honda Motor Company's Indian subsidiary, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI) plans to launch two mid range premium bikes in India in 2013. Two motorcycles are CBR 500 and CB 500. The high demand for sportsbikes in the market inspired the company to launch its new faces in the Indian two wheeler industry, says the consortium.



Both two wheelers come with 500cc engines. They are expected to be powered by 48 bhp. The CBR 500 looks resembled to Honda's own CBR 600 and seems to be the younger sibling of CBR 1000R as well. With front kits, engine covers and dual head lamp, CBR 500 brings new label to the Indian Motorcycle hereditary. Concurrently, the CB 500 exactly fits to be a true street fighter.
