First Impression Review
The Vulcan S 650 is Kawasaki's answer to the middleweight cruiser segment. Crafted to make highway riding and occasional city rides a very easy affair, the Vulcan S 650 is everything the rider wishes to be. The Vulcan S 650 comes with the same 650 cc engine that been used to power the Ninja 650. The Vulcan S 650 uses the same chassis used in the Versys 650 and comes with new engine characteristics. The 650 cc engine is made to produce a maximum power of 60.5 Bhp @ 7500 rpm as compared to the 68 hp produced by the Z650.
The Vulcan S 650 is a real killer on roads. The open roads will bring out the sports bike nature concealed inside the skin of a cruiser and it's within the DNA to scale high rpms with much agility and control. The suspension duties of the Vulcan S 650 is done with ø41 mm telescopic fork with a wheel travel of 130 mm. While the rear suspension duties are performed with an Offset laydown single-shock, linkage equipped with adjustable preload of 80 mm wheel travel. The front brakes of the Vulcan S 650 are made to make superior stopping power even at higher speeds and the inclusion of ABS is really commendable. The front brakes come with a Single ø300 mm disc while the rear comes with Single ø250 mm disc.
The Vulcan is made to be ergo friendly to make way for any type of rider to ride it very easily. The seat height of the Vulcan S 650 is 705 mm while the ground clearance of this cruiser is 130 mm. The overall weight of the Vulcan S 650 is 235 kg.
